This class will help you determine where you can best serve the Lord with joy, fulfillment and fruitfulness. Your unique set of spiritual gifts, your heart for connecting with certain tasks or groups of people, your abilities, your personality and your past experiences make you uniquely you and can suggest your primary way of serving Him in the church, in the community or abroad.

Purpose and Objectives

  1. To discover who God has planned for you to be.
  2. To discover your unique design (S.H.A.P.E.) for ministry.
  3. To commit to developing and using your God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others through your church family.
  4. To select and begin serving in the ministry of the church that best expresses what God made you to be.

Part 1: What the Bible Says About Spiritual Gifts

Part 2: Five Tools to Identify Your S.H.A.P.E.

Part 3: What the Bible Says About Ministry

Part 4: Serving at Circle Drive Alliance Church

Part 5: Personal Interview with a Shape Guide (at a later date)

Format

The workshop format will consist of presentations by Brian Toole and Glenda Harder, as well as round table discussions and independent work. The goal is for each participant to individually work through all five exercises (tools) that will reveal your unique S.H.A.P.E. There will be consultants at each table to assist you in working through these exercises. Following the class, you will have a personal interview with a Shape Guide to confirm your S.H.A.P.E. and discuss possible ministry opportunities.

Who Should Attend

This workshop has been designed for anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Saviour through faith, and is interested in finding out and using their spiritual gifts to minister to others and build up the Body of Christ.
