Why Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is the practice of helping another person awaken to the mystery of Jesus Christ in all of life and to encourage a response to that discovery which results in a growing relationship of freedom and commitment

Spiritual direction is the process of accompanying people on their spiritual journey. Simply put, it is helping people tell their sacred stories every day. It emphasizes growing closer to God and exploring a deeper relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human. Spiritual direction helps us learn how to live in peace, with compassion, promoting justice and as humble servants of Jesus Christ.

No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
Phil 3:13-14 NLT
