Sermon Notes

Worry is unhelpful

Worry is unreasonable

Worry is unhealthy

Worry is unnecessary

The Opposite Of Worry Is Confident Trust.

What Do I Trust?

1. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF ME

Psalms 23:1 (NCV) The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.

  • Provides
  • Protects
  • Guides
  • Corrects

Isaiah 40:11 (NCV) He takes care of his people like a shepherd. He gathers them like lambs in his arms and carries them close to him. He gently leads the mothers of the lambs.

2. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING

Philippians 4:19 (NCV) My God will use his wonderful riches in Christ Jesus to give you everything you need.

How do I Trust?

1. CONNECT WITH JESUS.

John 10:14, 27 (NCV) "I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep, as the Father knows me. And my sheep know me, as I know the Father. I give my life for the sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

2. COMMIT EVERYTHING TO PRAYER.

Philippians 4:6 (NCV) Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.

1 Peter 5:7 (NCV) Give all your worries to him, because he cares about you.

3. CONSIDER ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Matthew 6:34 (TLB) So don't be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.

Matthew 6:11 (TLB) Give us our food again today, as usual
